Enter your writing and art in our ongoing contest! Each
issue (3-4 times per year), new Artist/Writers are selected as our featured winners.
To enter, pay a small entry fee of $5 USD and complete the Contest Entry Form (link to fee payment
and entry form is at the bottom of this page). Number of winners and cash prizes are awarded depending on number and
types of entries.
If your work is not selected as a
winning entry, you may choose (on the entry form), for your work to be placed in the queue for possible (non-paid) publication
in a future issue.

When we receive more than 70 entries during the period between publication,
we will offer 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes in each category: poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and photo-essay.
One overall grand prize winner will be selected, as well. That person and his or her work will
be featured on the Magazine's home page.
All winners will be featured in our newsletter and the work published in The Writer's Eye Magazine.
Prizes
and cash awards are based on number of entries.

ALL entries must be accompanied by an attachment of a visual art form, ORIGINAL and created by the author, that is related to and complements
the written work. (Pre-approved collaborative work may also be entered into the contest.)
Entries that do not
include digital representations of original visual art created by the author will not be included in the contest.

Entry Form (link to form is at bottom below - read this entire page before
submitting). Entries of accompanying artwork/photographs are accepted via email only at this time.
The Writer's Eye
Magazine Contests do not accept previously published work. You may enter more than once, however one entry per $5 entry fee
and Contest Entry Form only.
We receive entries on an ongoing basis. Each entry will be judged in the
publication period in which it is received.
The Writer's Eye Magazine asks for first rights to any piece selected as a winner. At the time of publication, all rights
revert back to the author/artist. The Writer's Eye Magazine retains the right to publish the piece(s) and accompanying artwork
in any subsequent issue or anthology, whether in print or online, without additional payment. If your work is republished
elsewhere, we ask that you cite The Writer's Eye Magazine as a place of first publication and provide The Writer's Eye Magazine's
web address.
